Poor Netflix, angry customers prevail

July 1st, 2008

Well, a little while back Netflix announced that they were going to get rid of user split accounts.  Currently, if you ave an account you can split your account up, I do it by splitting it up between my wife, myself, and the kids.  Well, Netflix decided to get rid of this feature and promised new features in return.  I have no idea what they were going to be doing that would require one profile per account…and I still don’t.  I do know that whatever it is they are going to have to find a work-around because they got jacked up by the customers.  I just got a message in the mail saying that they were going to keep everything the same.  Does anyone know what the new features were that they were going to roll out?  Personally I think they were just trying to get more subscriptions by restricting profiles.  Man, I wonder how many emails and phone calls they got because of that announcement?

Ok, above is the FEMA trailer here in Biloxi, when they finally sent relief down here.  Below are the new Katrina cottages.  These things are slightly larger than the campers above.  The Democrat in me says, “Damn this really sucks.  What did they use all that money on?”  The republican in me says, “Well, at least they have a roof over their head.”  The realist in me says, “Seriously, it’s good they have a roof over their head but someone really dropped the ball here!  Fire whoever that person was and all his sub-managers.”

PS: People in Biloxi are pretty nice folks.
