Great strategy: Sexism claims from a sexist

September 10th, 2008 Lu Sancea 3 comments

I find it quite odd that the McCain campaign has come out with an ad saying that Barack is a sexist when McCain is known for his blatant sexism.  From the jokes to the comment about his wife it is simply laughable that this joke of a human is pushing this agenda.  Let’s take a look at McCain and his hypocrisy.

McCain cheated and left his injured wife

Yea, that’s right.  The guy came back from captivity and started womanizing and eventually met Cindy.  From there he started to court her and left his wife for the new model.  This dude is a jerk and a moron.

McCain called his wife a c-word

Again,  crazy huh?  Check it out for yourself, they put it up on drudgereport.com which is a pro-republican website. http://www.drudge.com/archive/106692/author-mccain-called-wife-****-trollop

Not to mention the fact that the guy is known as for his sexist remarks. http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/2008/aug/08/johnmccain.gender

The idiot called Hillary the same thing!!!!

Yea, when asked about Hillary Clinton, he was recorded saying the exact same thing, but yet no one did anything about it then.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BR8IhMMhe8w My only question is why on earth Obama hasn’t responded to this attack with an equally vicious retort about his temperment and his sexist remarks?  It seems to me that the guy has a horrible record on this stuff and I would slaughter him in the press for saying stuff like that about me.

I was going through some nytimes opinion pages and I stumbled on this page again.  I started thinking about, I understand that some people are like this but I wonder how many people are like that.  Yea, I know it’s a touchy subject, but I was curious what the developer community thought about the subject.  Anyone?

This is a masterful example of how to tote that party line.  I don’t think there is anyone that can do it better.  If I am mistaken, please let me know.

What was McCain thinking? Holy crap!

August 29th, 2008 Lu Sancea 28 comments

I knew that McCain was going to make a big pick here and I expected it to make a big rumble, but wow!  As the pick was made I kept thinking that it had to be bad information or someone got a hoax pick.  Then later, McCain came out and made the pick official.  I thought it was impressive that Sarah Palin was able to deliver a decent speech given the time she had, but I was a bit turned off when she started pandering to the Hillary voters.  I think it would have been better if she just talked about the issues.  By coming out and basically saying to everyone, “I was picked to try and pick up Hillary supporters and undecided women”. I think it’s a slap in the face of the Hillary supporters to pick a woman just to lure them to vote.  If it works, well then we will all know that democrat women don’t vote based on issues, yikes!

I have no idea what they were thinking with this pick, but there were WAY too many people available for the job with WAY more experience.  I immediately said that if McCain had picked someone like Kay Bailey Hutchinson, Carly Fiorina, Condoleezza Rice, and Meg Whitman, it would’ve been a war.  This was just a weird pick from a guy who has been shoving experience down my throat.  She is a woman, yes, but she is supposed to push for a candidate against equal pay for women, and she fights against big oil…but McCain wants dish more cash to big oil.  I don’t get it.  My personal view is that if Kay Bailey Hutchinson would’ve been picked it would really be a war, but this pick just smells like a desperate move.  Can someone give me a real reason to pick Sarah Palin?  What kind of deliberations did he go through to make this pick??  Geez!

Let’s see what is going to happen, he might pull some women, however they will be women on the right who are already aligned with Republicans.  I think he just did his campaign a disservice in the eyes of some of those Republican men who are still in the stone-age.  I noticed that there were quite a few older men at his announcement who were standing with arms crossed and no smile to speak of.  I do agree with the talking heads of the media that it was a big pick, but with all the things wrong with this pick, it’s hard to believe that people will buy into it.

My wife gave me a brow lift when the pick was made and when I asked her if she thought it was too obvious she laughed and said hell yes.  I really don’t think McCain wants to come off as desperate enough to pick a woman to get votes.  That’s not good.  I am a bit disappointed by the pick, but there are plenty of people who are happy with the pick.  Those who are, never give a valid reason other than, “She is pro-gun, or pro-life, or conservative”.  That’s wonderful, I am pro-gun as well…but I don’t want her to be running the country in the event of someone horrible happening to McCain.  Bad choice, take it back and pick Hutchinson…I would be comfortable with her over Palin in the case McCain did win.  So, I am curious to see if some of these democrat women will make the change.  Will they forfeit all of your views simply to have a woman VP?

John McCain should fire his web development staff.

This is probably changed now, since the big announcement of Sarah Palin as VP, but I had to comment on this when I saw it today.  Seriously, in this day and age you are developing websites that aren’t cross-browser compatible??  Firefox is a real browser guys, come on.  Wow!
